I am not the type of person who likes change. However, there are times when it is absolutely necessary. For me, that time came when I lost my job. Companies everywhere in the area were downsizing, and mine was the latest to cut jobs. Since I was just one of many, the available local jobs were taken quickly. I knew that the only way I was going to survive this was to move out of the area, because there was just nothing left for me there. I did a search for southwest Las Vegas apartments because that is where my sister lives, and she had been telling me that the job market there is the complete opposite of where I had been living.
She lives in a really nice area, and I had always enjoyed it every time I went there to visit. She had invited me to stay with her, but I am just too independent for that. I had a decent amount in my savings account, so I wanted to find an apartment that I would like and then a job that was going to make me happy. As soon as I saw the Spectrum, I knew that it was where I wanted to be.
I am not really a social butterfly, but I think that was just because I never had the chance to really interact with a lot of different people. When I saw that this apartment complex offers a lot of community amenities, I thought that it would be the perfect place to live. I was actually excited about going to the clubhouse and meeting others, swimming in the resort style pool, and having access to so many other features that are just for residents. My sister was right, because it did not take me long to find a job that also seems like the perfect fit for me. Losing my old job turned out to be a huge blessing for me!
